WHAT IS ATHEISM AND ITS ACTIVITIES

  • Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods. The doctrine that there is no God or gods.
  • Atheism is also distinguished from agnosticism, which leaves open the question whether there is a god or not, professing to find the questions unanswered or unanswerable.
  • The term atheism is nothing but a feature that allows people to think about what that is happening around us. It is a way to think scientifically and analyze matters.
  • A central, common core of Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam is the affirmation of the reality of one, and only one, God.
  • They all are thinking that the universe is created by god and not by science or nature.
  • Generally atheism is a denial of God or of the gods, and if religion is defined in terms of belief in spiritual beings, then atheism is the rejection of all religious belief.
  • It is necessary, however, if a tolerably adequate understanding of atheism is to be achieved, to give a reading to “rejection of religious belief” and to come to realize how the characterization of atheism as the denial of God or the gods is inadequate.
